Mud pump types

A mud pump is composed of many parts including mud pump liner, mud pump piston , modules, hydraulic seat pullers, and other parts. Parts of a mud pump : 1. One of the most common applications for a triplex mud pump is oil drilling, and it works by decreasing the volume of the working fluid being discharged to generate enough pressure to produce the flow. The most used types of mud pumps today in land operations are the duplex double-action pump and the triplex single-action pump. In the past two decades, several new mud pump designs have been successful in drilling operations, particularly offshore operations.
