An Earth-leakage circuit breaker ( ELCB ) is a safety device used in electrical installations with high Earth impedance to prevent shock. It detects small stray voltages on the metal enclosures of electrical equipment, and interrupts the circuit if a dangerous voltage is detected. An ELCB is a specific type of latching relay that has a structure’s incoming mains power associated through its switching contacts so that the circuit breaker detaches the power in an unsafe condition. The ELCB notices fault currents of human or animal to the earth wire in the connection it guards. Without proper earth connection, ELCB will not work.
ELCB is attached between earthed wire and metallic body of the electrical appliances. An earth leakage circuit breaker ( ELCB ) is a device with two earth terminals used to directly detect currents leaking to earth from an installation and cut the power. The ELCB Research and Development team continuously use evolving new technology in practical applications. Our aim is to harness the new available capabilities and through a controlled process. ELCB is the old name and often refers to voltage operated devices that are no longer available and it is advised you replace them if you find one.
RCCB or RCD is the new name that specifies current operated (hence the new name to distinguish from voltage operated). The RCCB can operate for the same fault conditions where ELCB operates. Shanghai Mezeen Electric Co. MCB( Miniature Circuit Breaker )- The MCB is stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker which is an upgraded version of Fuse. MCB provides you the facility to break the contact of the circuit from supply if the supply current exceeds from the rated.
Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker ( ELCB ) is a device used to directly detect currents leaking to earth from an installation and cut the power and mainly used in TT earthing systems. Now a days ELCB is completely replaced by RCCB. In voltage ELCB , one of the terminals of the sensing device is connected to the main body of the equipment to be protected. RCCB is an updated version of ELCB.
We are engaged in manufacturing, supplying and trading a qualitative gamut of ELCB that are widely used for providing protection from short circuit and overload in domestic and industrial applications. You can turn off annoying electronic devices. Limited Time Sale Easy Return. A dedicated 2Pole ELCB with the dimension width of 36mm (3Pole = 54mm width) has also been achieved. It has the rated current ranging from 5-50A, at 240VAC.
We also offer the UL4ELCB GLOBAL-TWIN (G-TWIN) Series, providing superior performance at the smallest dimensions and has a reduced overall panel size. It is aimed to protect the people from the danger of electric shock, electrocution and fires that are caused due to faulty wiring or earth faults.
Unlike previously studied RCCB, an ELCB is a voltage operated device. ELMCB STANDS FOR EARTH LEAKAGE MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER. ELCB IS USED FOR TO SENSE THE EARTH LEAKAGE CURRENT ONLY. AND AFTER SENSING SUFFICIENTLY AS PER THE RATING OF ELCB IT.
AND IN ELMCB IT WORKS LIKE AS ELCB BUT MOREOVER IT PROTECT. CONNECETD LINE WITH SHORT CIRCUIT ALSO. About 1 of these are circuit breakers.
