Use them for high-spee high-precision applications, such as turbines and dentistry equipment, where dual-direction loads are present. Measured bearing geometries are listed in Table 1.

Single-row angular contact ball bearings are self-retaining units with solid inner and outer rings and ball and cage assemblies with polyamide, sheet metal or brass cages. The raceways of the inner and outer rings are offset from each other along the bearing axis. The bearings are available in open and sealed designs. Usually, the cages for angular contact ball bearings with a contact angle of 30° (Symbol A) or 40° (Symbol B) are in accordance with Table but depending on the application, machined synthetic resin cages or molded polyamide resin cages are also used.

They are used where high combined loads exist, such as turbines, jet engines, large transport vehicles, and industrial pumps. SINGLE ROW ANGULAR CONTACT Single row angular contact ball bearings feature raceways with high and low shoulders. These opposing raceways are designed to carry thrust load in one direction.

NTN can preload the bearings at the factory so that the correct load will develop once the bearing is put into service. This relatively small device is designed to support a greater range of forces than a standard bearing , and to work within even the most precisely engineered machines and equipment.

An axial load passes in a straight line through the bearing , whereas a radial load takes an oblique path that tends to want to separate the races axially. Two single-row angular contact ball bearings mounted back-to-back except that they have only one inner ring and one outer ring, each having raceways. They can take axial loads in either direction.

Double row angular contact ball bearings should be installed when installing, although the bearing can withstand two-way axial load. However, if there is a ball gap on one side, care should be taken not to let the main axial load pass through the notched side of the groove. When the series arrangement (the wide end faces of the two bearings are in one direction), the contact angles of the double row angular contact ball bearing are the same and parallel, so that the two bearings share the working load in the same direction.

The contact angle is measured by two intersecting lines, one that’s formed at the point of contact between the ball and the raceway (s). However, in order to ensure the axial stability of the installation when using this type of mounting, two pairs of bearings arranged in series must be mounted opposite each other at both ends of the shaft. General purpose bearing is specially machined.

The deeper the angle between the bearing and its axis, the greater the axial load the bearing can carry. As the name implies, rolling-element bearings use a roller or ball to carry a load. There are many types of roller-element bearings, including: Each type of bearing has its own distinct advantages and trade-offs.

Double row design for multidirectional axial loa similar to a pair of single row bearings, but taking up less axial space. Angular Contact Ball Bearing s Accuracy level. Made from high-quality chromium bearing steel. The ball bearings are separated by high-speed Polyamide cages.
