Contactor pdf

Contactor relays are often used in control and regulating functions. They are used in large quantities for the indirect control of motors, valves, clutches and heating equipment. For these and more of our motor control products, such as push buttons, soft starts, variable frequency drives, see the back cover.

Vertical in-line quick connect terminals on 60A and 75A F frame. Definite Purpose Contactors and Starters 4. Contactors can be combined with either manual motor starters of the SM series, providing thermal and magnetic protection up to 100A, or single or three-pole thermal bimetallic overload relays, with or without single-phase protection up to 420A , to obtain non-reversing or reversing starters.

As the name implies, starters “start” motors. They can also stop them, reverse them, accelerate them, and protect them. Simple installation and wiring. The MS-N series contactors , starters and relays can be installed on a mounting rail (35mm width).

The terminals of these coils are arranged on the contactor with simple wiring. Furthermore, the distance between the center of the rail and the coil terminals is unified at 38. Large electric motors can be protected from overcurrent damage through the use of overload heaters and overload contacts. If the series-connected heaters get too hot from excessive current,.

TeSys Contactors are available for both IEC and NEMA applications and certified by major standards around the world.

The contactor relay contacts themselves constitute a considerable safety feature. A contactor is an electrically-controlled switch used for switching an electrical power circuit. By design and construction they ensure electrical isolation between the actuating circuit and the operating circuit, in the de-energized state, between the contact input and output. All Moeller contactor relays have double-break contacts. A contactor can stand on its own as a power control device, or as part of a starter.

Contactors are used in applications ranging from the light switch to the most complex, automated industrial equipment. The CI 6-contactors are also available with AMP connections in main circuits. Coils are equipped with standard screw connections.

The miniature contactors have been designed with flexibility in mind. Pole AC- and DC-Operated Contactors. The XT IEC contactors are powerful, efficient and versatile, and can be combined with our full range of electronic overload relays and bimetal relays. Coil voltage code — see page7. These DC devices stand out for their reduced power consumption, which makes them more energy efficient and also reduces the size of the power supply units.

They are the bigger version of relays both physically and electrically. They have bigger, wider and heavier contact mechanisms designed to handle large amount of currents. Since most are intended for large power applications,.
