Water plays many different roles on the Earth. But most of the water on Earth is in the oceans. Some is vapor in the atmosphere. Water is essential for life as we know it. The first process is evaporation and the transformation of the water into vapor.


The water cycle starts from the ocean where the sun warms the water. Then the water vapor rises to the top and it condenses when exposed to the cold air, then the condensed water moves inside the clouds and falls again in liquid form. Water cycle , also called hydrologic cycle , cycle that involves the continuous circulation of water in the Earth-atmosphere system. Of the many processes involved in the water cycle , the most important are evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, and runoff.


The Water Cycle (also known as the hydrologic cycle ) is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again. Plants also lose water to the air (this is called transpiration). The following article explains a little more about the water cycle , in which water circulates from the land to the air in a continuous cycle. Since the water cycle is truly a cycle , there is no beginning or end.
