Water scarcity paragraph

Water scarcity involves water crisis , water shortage , water deficit or water stress. Physical water scarcity refers to a situation where natural water resources are unable to meet a region’s demand and economic water scarcity is a result of poor water management resources. Essay Water Scarcity Of Water Shortage Water is the sustainment for all life as we know it, without it, we will all perish. Because of the critical shortage of the often overlooked natural resource of water , the world will soon be thrust into a long and enduring crisis. Water Scarcity is harmful to human life because when water is poorly managed throughout the worl those who need water are deprived of nutrients they truly need causing them to die.


This eventually affects the global population.

Simply put, water scarcity is either the lack of enough water (quantity) or lack of access to safe water (quality). But, in the developing worl finding a reliable source of safe water is often time consuming and expensive. It mostly affects arid and deserted areas, and places where the water is too polluted to drink. It is a social, environmental and economic problem in many countries. Water Shortage Water shortage problem is when humans or living creatures suffer from a scarcity of water another definition for water shortage is either the lack of enough water or lack of access to safe water and it happens because of the dreadful use of water and polluting rivers, oceans and lakes.


When the annual per capita of renewable fresh water in a country or a region falls below 7cubic metres, it is held to be situation of water stress. If the availability is below 0cubic metres, the situation is labelled as that of water scarcity. While water shortages and water scarcity are imminent phenomena that human facing right now, the key to reduce their use should rest with good water management by government, community and individual, further technological innovations are needed to provide best ways to process something like sea water into freshwater (desalination) and as well for recycling wasted water.


Lakes and rivers contain a very small quantity of water as compared to ground water resources.

The above reveals that there is an acute shortage of fresh water. All over the globe water scarcity is experience specially during dry seasons. It is manifested by partial or no satisfaction of expressed deman economic competition for water quantity or quality, disputes between users, irreversible depletion of groundwater, and negative impacts on the environment.


Clean water changes lives! Give clean water and help fight poverty around the world. Every seconds a child dies of a water -related disease. It already affects every continent and around 2. The scarcity of freshwater in the country is often attributed to lack of proper planning at the government’s en corruption, increased rate of corporate privatization and an increasing amount of human and industrial waste that is discarded into water.

People of arid area suffer the ‘starvation’ of water. They are to drink the filthy water of ponds, stagnant tanks and rivers. More urgent action needs to be taken by the Australian people and all levels of government to preserve Australia’s scarce water resources, replenish its natural aquifers and promote subsidies to encourage rain water tank collection and water rec. This issue has been addressed and some work has already been done.


The two States that suffer acute water scarcity sometimes are Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

The water reservoirs in many towns and cities were meant for a small population. Even the drains for carrying sewage water were planned and built for a small population. There are various areas where South Africa stores and extracts water.


Most run-off from rainfall is held in dams such as the Gariep dam, the Vaal dam and the Sterkfontein dam.
